A generation of children has grown up witnessing
genocide. Fathers were murdered. Sisters were taken
into slavery. Villages were burned. As survivors fled,
thousands of boys began their trek across Sudan toward
Ethiopia and Kenya, often seeking refuge from militiamen,
lions and fatigue in the branches of the acacia tree. It
was in these trees the Lost Boys shared their dreams of
a better tomorrow.
Now, after more than two decades of war in Southern
Sudan, peace has restored hope to the Lost Boys and
their families. And with your help, every boy and girl
can have the education they've been longing for as
your contributions build schools across the country.
